Nordic Air Defence is a Swedish defence-tech company pioneering cost-effective, solutions for modern aerial security. Our first products are based on the Kreuger, battery powered, drone interceptor platform. It is designed to counter evolving UAS threats with unmatched speed and agility at a fraction of the cost of current systems. Nordic Air Defence is, at its core, a mission drive company—developing solutions to safeguard democratic values and societal stability. We are seeking a Technical Project Manager to lead and coordinate projects across our CUAS product portfolio as we move form prototypes into full scale production. This role combines traditional project management responsibilities with hands-on involvement in field trials, both locally and internationally, working closely with customers, partners, and internal engineering teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead planning, execution, and delivery of CUAS development and deployment projects.
- Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and resource plans.
- Coordinate cross-functional teams including engineering, operations, and business development.
- Prepare and manage documentation for project milestones, risk assessments, and compliance.
- Organize and participate in field trials, including logistics, safety planning, and technical setup.
- Act as a liaison between internal teams and external stakeholders (customers, partners and end-users during field trials).
- Support proposal development and contribute to technical presentations and demos.
- Ensure smooth transitions from development into LRIP phase and work closely with supply chain and production teams
Qualifications
- Proven experience in technical project management, preferably in defence, aerospace, or security tech.
- Strong understanding of systems engineering and hardware/software integration.
- Experience with product certification processes and export control processes is highly desired.
- Experience with field testing or operational deployments is valuable.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to travel internationally and work in dynamic environments, including outdoor field conditions.
- Familiarity with agile methodologies and project management tools (e.g., Jira).
- Track record of project management for highly integrated products from concept phase to full rate production.
- Experience from robotics, UAS or similar is desired
- Full professional proficiency in English (spoken and written)
- Experience from startup environment is a plus
- Ability to obtain security clearance in Sweden is required
