Software Engineer - Integrations
About Nordic Air Defence
Nordic Air Defence develops cutting-edge interceptor UAVs for both civilian and military applications.
The Role
This is a full-time, on-site role in Stockholm. As Integration Software Engineer, you will write the software that connects Nordic Air Defence systems with external detect-track-identify systems.
You will work at the boundary between our software, sensors, operators, and mission systems. This includes building integrations, debugging real-world system behaviour, handling unreliable interfaces, and making complex systems work together under operational constraints.
This is a highly practical role. You will be expected to move quickly, understand real systems, and solve messy problems with users, engineers, and external partners.
We are looking for somebody who satisfies the following requirements:
Strong software engineering skills in C++, Python, Rust, Go, or similar
Strong experience building integrations between complex systems
Ability to debug issues across system boundaries
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Comfortable working closely with users, product engineers, and external stakeholders
Willingness to travel domestically and internationally to customer sites up to 50% of the time
Desirable bonuses:
Experience in defence, aerospace, robotics, autonomy, or similar
Hands-on experience with common C2 platforms (ATAK/TAK, Anduril Lattice, Palantir, Saab, Leonardo), sensor fusion, or mission-planning software
Experience owning technical delivery in ambiguous environments
Benefits:
Generous PTO and holidays
Competitive salary with opportunities for performance-based bonuses
Stock options with upside in the company’s success
Additionally:
You are ideally a citizen of a NATO country
You must be prepared to relocate to Stockholm permanently
Any experience working with the defence industry is a plus
